""Timothy Goes to School" is a warm and cheerful series about Timothy and his school-friends, based various books by Rosemary Wells. Unfortunately, "Timothy" is currently only airing on weekends on a Discovery Channel subnetwork called Discovery Kids, so if you have a chance, snap up this DVD.
"The Great Race" includes three stories from "Timothy Goes to School:"
"Red Thunder"
Timothy has a special brand-new red thunder bike, which he brings to his school's Bike Safety Demonstration Day. Later, after seeing some big kids do bike tricks, he gets some big ideas, but he may not be ready just yet.
"The Great Obstacle Race"
Timothy's school has a picnic that's also filled with fun games. Grace and Claude want to win them all, but nobody else seems to care, at least, not too much.
"The Treefort and the Sandcastle"
The boys of Timothy's school start a tree-fort club, while the girls start a sand-castle club. Their teacher doesn't seem to mind, though, so long as they're having fun. Perhaps she knows something they don't because before long, they don't seem to be having much fun at all.
This DVD basically includes the same special features as the first "Timothy" release --- previews for other Our Time Family Entertainment DVDs, a story from the show "Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse" and web-links to games and activities if you put it in your computer's DVD-ROM drive.
Unfortunately, like the other "Timothy" DVD release, there are no captions or subtitles."
