"Went to Vegas over the holidays and was fortunate enogh to get highly discounted tickets with great seats for the 10PM show Xmas nite. Vegas is not my thing but i would go back just to see this show Again.Upon exit from the show you are corraled through a Beatles gift shop. They wanted $45 for this DVD. Waited until i got home ,came to amazon and saved $30. the insight that this DVD offers is amazing. when you see what happened to start this ball rolling and then the impossible task of making it happen..,.it blows your mind!.Great interviews with Niles & george Martin. A must for any Beastles Or Cirque Fan!!"
All You Need Is Love

"I haven't seen the live show of Love in Vegas (but want to). Many people have posted saying how much this reminds them of when they saw the show. Well, like I pointed out, I haven't seen the show and all I can say is watching this makes me want to see the live show all that much more.

I was worried that this was going to be just a repeat of something I'd seen on television earlier, but it definitely wasn't that. Lots of footage from the various acts in the show. Extras show how and why Sir George Martin and his son adapted the songs to the show. Of interest is that this is the ONLY Cirque show that doesn't have a live band performing along with the show.

I truly envy those of you that HAVE seen this one live. Someday I'll get there. For now, I can dream by watching this amazing DVD over and over again!"

"This was the prefect compliment to the show. I wish cirque would release the complete show on DVD."
Excellent documentary about the Vegas Cirque show

"I LOVED the music (get the cd for sure if you're a Beatles fan!) but was a *little* disappointed in the show. Olivia hit it right on the head in a comment she made in this documentary. There's a point in the doc. where she says to the head Cirque guy, something like, "Gee, I expected it to be more like your other shows, with more acrobatics and stunts. I hope people aren't disappointed."

For me it was worth it to get to see the live show and to hear the fabulous surround sound music George Martin and Son had cooked up! My wife was more disappointed in the show than me, as she's not AS into deep listening to the music as I am, and we'd both seen another Cirque show and were expecting something more like that.

However, we did like the show, overall, and we found this documentary to be excellent! It really made me realize how much went in to it, and it was fantastic to hear Martin and Son talking about how they did it. It seemed to me that the hardest part for the Cirque guys must have been dealing with Yoko and Olivia. I think Paul and Ringo were much easier to deal with, if the doc. is representative of how it went down.

Olivia and Yoko were probably *overly* protective of their husbands' music. At one point Yoko says - after months of development - that she did not like the way they did "Come Together" at all! And at another point Olivia says she doesn't like 2 of the main "characters" at all! Yikes! The Cirque guys must have nearly gotten lockjaw as they tried to hold their tongues! ;-D Though they seemed to take it very calmly. They were more nervous about Ringo and Paul liking it, it seemed, but R&P seemed pretty easy to please.

Seeing how it all came together was really fascinating to me, and watching the doc. actually made me want to see the live show a 2nd time! I did hear they made some changes since I saw it, so it would be nice to see it again. Too bad it's so danged expensive! ($103 to $165 each)

I highly recommend this documentary to all Beatles fans, except those who just plain hate the whole "Love" thing. ;-D Seeing this first will give you an idea of what the show is like, and if it is something you want to spend the money to get to Las Vegas to see."
