Movie Reviews

The best film I've ever seen!! Ever!!
S. Segura | Madrid, SPAIN | 04/08/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"It's amazing. This movie is amazing. The humor. The rythm. It's so sophisticated, I can't believe it didn't win any oscars!
But what admires me the most is the guy who stars in it. Awesome, what a comedic genius! Such a funny guy... I don't know why he isn't working in Hollywood already.
Watch out ACM, William Morris... This fella is a goldmine, and he is also the writer and director. Wow.
I just wanted to share my point of view with you.
Buy this dvd and you won't regret it!!
(Warning, this movie contains nudity, weird behaviors, obscenities, and is very very politically incorrect... but funny)"
Incredibly raunchy, Unbelievably funny

"I first saw Torrente 2 in a Spanish comedy movie marathon in theaters in my home town.
To say I laughed my @$$ off is an understatement.
Torrente tells the story of an incompetent ex-police officer, now turned private detective. He indulges in every excess -dirnking, women, gambling- and is completely unapologetic about it.

So fun you'll pee in your pants.
Get it, and if you don't like reading subtitles, suck it up and get it anyway. You won't regret it."
Hilarious!

"This movie is awesome. One classic scene after another, with a great cast of characters. Think Austin Powers but with John Belushi in the lead role - except no American Movie company would have had the guts to make such a politically incorrect (but hilarious) movie. I have to imagine that in Spain, this movie has become equivalent to Animal House/Caddy Shack/Monty Python, with characters and lines that become legendary."
Classic

"Until I get my DVD copy...I've been fortunate enough to have this movie on VHS for a while now (purchased in Spain) and watch it religiously. To add to the above tid-bit here is one of my favorites:
Torrente: This is the worst part of being a private detective, the long waits...how about we masturbate?
Junkie: with our hands or mouth?
Torrente: what's wrong with you! with your mouth? you deviant!...well lets see how you do that.
Altough the best scene, is when Torrente is hired to find out if a man's wife is a prostitute or not. The dialgue exchange is by far the best ever put on film."
