Movie Reviews

5.1 Audio CD DVD kids.... the sound is AMAZING
Hunter Dutton | houst-on, txxxx | 10/22/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"David Sylvian fan here, and really only looked into Tweaker 'cause the association. But damn this sounds great on DVD surround! Each song has a "video" wether its graphics or a slide show, but SOMETHIN'! plus the music videos at the tail end! listening to the chimes on Pure Genius bounce around all five speakers was amazing. And Robert Smith never sounded so cool. Kids... just get it!"
Alternatve Version of an Amazing Album
D. Fritz | Toronto, Ontario | 12/20/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Not only are these songs in 5.1 surround sound, but many (if not all?) are alternate mixes of the track. Some tracks lose their aggression, while others gain a whole new life. The video/animations displayed on screen during the album are simple, and basic, yet mesmorizing and layered.

The bonus videos are handy to have in DVD format. Linoleum and Take Me Alive (both from The attraction to All Thigns Uncertain) were previously available from Tweaker's website, although recently disappeared from the page. Its enjoyable to have a better quality version of the cuts.

Chris's 20 minute studio tour is worth the price alone! Nothing like a personalized tour of every peice of equipment he uses... fantastic!

I rated it four stars because I think the DVD could have had more bonus features. It wasn't directly produced by Waxploitation, which leads me to assume that Waxploitation could have put many more features on Tweaker's first DVD release. Overall though, this DVD *is* worth the price to any Tweaker fan."
Tweaker - 2 am Wake up call 5.1 mix DVD
five points one | 07/11/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"MadCow's review is dead on. The sound quality is great. I would have liked a more aggressive use of the rear channels however the 5.1 mix is good. The whole DVD has a very chill vibe to it. The visuals are mellow and will not distract you from the music. The studio tour is a quality bonus feature. The whole package really works because the audio and visuals match each other in tone so well. Overall I would recommend it to any Tweaker fan or anyone into the dark fairy tale theme."
