Movie Reviews

Unscarred is nothing short of amazing.

"Matt Burn's autodocumentary is a great feature. Fans of wrestling and non-fans will appreciate the effort that went into making this film. It talks about the hardships and sacrifice involved with the not-so-simple life of being an independent wrestler.

I highly recommend checking out this movie when it re-releases with all new footage and an updated interview on October, 26th. It's worth the watch. - Drew (PS.. I'm not a kid, I just don't feel like making an account :-p)"
Nick Mondo is the Strongest Wrestler Ever

"Unscarred is the documentary of Harcore Indy Wrestling Superstar "Sick" Nick Mondo. The movie covers everything from his early backyard wrestling days, pulling outrageous stunts with his high school friends, to his professional career including Combat Zone Wrestling where he became known as one of the most insane wrestlers of all time. From being power bombed off of buildings to taking a weedwhacker to the stomach, Nick Mondo has done it all and survived. The movie includes great interviews with fellow wrestlers, family, and friends, as well as Mondo himself who relays exactly what was going through his head and what drove him to take such amazing risks.Watch this movie and find out why I say Nick Mondo is the Strongest Wrestler Ever!"
The Real Ultraviolent Icon

"Living in Philly, I have been exposed to this heaven called CZW for a couple of years. One of the men aimed to bring COmbat Zone Wrestling to the apex of ultraviolence, was Sick Nick Mondo. A great aerial wrestler turned deathmatch wrestler, this DVD is all about him. It documents his life, from childhood to retirment, to where he is now.

It is worth it to watch the directors cut version, becuase it is longer, and you don't have the teenage boys "backyard wrestling" and the random half naked tramps in the background while watching the film. They ahve interviews w/ Mondo's mom and dad, Horace the PSychopath(from IWA-MS KOTDM fame), mondo himself, is girlfriend, and a couple others.

The matches included on the DVD are worth the price. THey had some of his earlier matches in the smaller Indies. But the best were his matches in CZW, where he is shown against Nick Gage in the match where Gage almost caught fire. ANd his infamous match against Wifebeater( where the weedwhacker was used!!)

Overall I would suggest this to anyone, but CZW fans in particular. People who do not appreciate wrestling will after watching this. Zandig may call himself the Ultraviolent Icon, and Ian Rotten may call himself the Undisputed King of HArdcore, but Sick Nick Mondo is the Real Ultraviolent Legend.

"Nick Mondo is by far one of the most passionate wrestlers who have ever laced up a pair of boots. Every night he but his body through sheer hell for the love of the sport and his love and respect for his fans. Nick Mondo will forever be in my book of wrestling great!!"
