Movie Reviews

Um musico total !!! (A Total Musician)
D. Guillen-nakamura | Gold Coast, Australia | 12/05/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I bought this DVD about a year ago, and absolutely love Yamandu and friends' performance. Brazilian descendant of European immigrants, his music is extremely fresh, contemporary, full of rhythm, melody, energy, and passion. Coming from the "choro" and gaucho schools, Yamandu is already a master of Latin-American styles. He also plays tango and bossa with ease, on his 7-string guitar. Keep an eye on this young genius ... the whole world is already talking about him. This DVD is a fusion of Latin and Jazz styles in sophisticated and creative harmonies for everyone to enjoy !!!"

"First of all, this product is listed as an audio cd - it's not. It's a DVD and it's incredible. To hear Yamandu is wonderful, to see him actually perform is simply amazing. This DVD features him solo, in duet with acoustic bass, in trio with electric bass and drumset and in trio with acoustic bass and bandoneon. If you're a fan of Brazilian guitar, jazz guitar or just great guitar playing, you will enjoy this DVD. If you're a student of guitar, you will enjoy it even more. This kid is amazing. A very enjoyable extra is the brief footage of Hermeto - almost worth the price alone!"
