"Here is a collection of almost all of the Music Video's of Zucchero's top hits.
While substantially different in tone and quality of the videos (depending on your tastes) as the many directors and styles of videography used to bring his songs into a video-story formal vary widely, most fans of Zucchero and completists will love this collection.
For those not familiar with Zucchero, this Italian musician studied in the United States, and his not easily categorized music blends pop, jazz, blues and rock into various styles of music that are certain to impress the ears and the soul.
Just be sure to also buy the OUTSTANDING "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" (with a dozen different duets! including from Pavarotti and Eric Clapton- many of these are English translations of his songs -and extensive bonuses even showing him doing last songs with Miles Davis, Sting, and others you'll have to see to believe). This man is so beloved amongst artists, they all want to perform with him.
An outstanding composer, arranger, and performer, the only tragedy here is that most Americans, breast-fed on a steady diet of strictly English-language songs, will never hear this international treasure from Italy. If you think Italian music only means hits from past centuries you hear Pavarotti singing on PBS, think again.
His latest Italian concert (featuring both a DVD and CD) is also highly recommended. And if you have to buy ONLY ONE CD of Zucchero's, please buy the outstanding "Blues" album from 1978. There is not one clunker amongst the cuts of that flawless gem. Ciao."
