Member Movie Reviews Jennifer S. Reviewed on 4/16/2011... This movie shows a little of what Akeelah's life would be like in CA. The producers kept it clean except for 2-3 minor curse words. This shows a little girl with a lot of determination, and many people supporting her on her journey.
