I really like this workout. I feel like I get a great workout in under 30 minutes and I feel revitalized after I complete it. A must-have for kettlebell lovers!

"A" ok for Kettle Bells
Free | 11/05/2010
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I'm a jogger but i'm currently stationed in Baghdad so running is not so much of a choice after work for safety reasons. My goal is to lose 8lbs in 2 months. Wish me luck :0) I'm in average shape and average fitness condition. I don't like strength training nor workout DVDs but I know weights are essential for weight loss and maintenance so purchased this DVD. I give it an "A". Why?
1. Kettlebells - something different. I'm using a 13lb kettle bell. I'm 5'2"
2. Jillian is a cool instructor - not annoying.
3. The workout is fun - different moves and decent amount of reps.
4. Level 1 is medium-intensity - you WILL work up a sweat. 3 Days of it and I was sore for 3 days!
5. You can feel it in your glutes and core.. Shoulders too.
6. Level 2 is capital letters INTENSE! I faked some of it.. seriously hard. Split jerks..wtf?!
I'll be doing level 2 now on. But level 1 is an excellent workout and you'll feel refreshed.

I didn't rate it an "A+" because:
1. Some moves seem dangerous - I'm lucky I didn't break my face or knock myself out. lol-- laughing but I'm for real. And the kettlebells sometimes will hit your arms. Not sure if this is my technique or the force of the kettlebell is just hard to control when in motion. Just be careful or choose appropriate weight for yourself.

I'm currently jogging 4miles, biking 3 miles, and doing this DVD everyday. Wish me luck :0) Good luck to you all and Enjoy. Buy it!"

"As usual Jillian's workout is great. My only complaint is it is not long enough, but I just add 30 minutes of cardio after the workout. Perfect for someone who is short on time or a quick morning workout before work. If you are a beginner I suggest a light kettle bell and work your way up. Her Kettle bell is a bit pricey, but reasonably priced ones are easy to find."
Good Workout - def. need a Kettlebell for full effect

"I really like Jillian's videos, I have several. This is a terrific workout, I have not moved to the second level yet, but level one seems to do the trick. You definitely should invest in a kettlebell if you are buying this video(I did it for about 2 weeks using a dumbbell and it just wasn't as effective). I usually use 5 lb weights and bought a 10lb kettlebell. I feel like this really works my hips, core and hamstrings better than any other home video I have ever done. I think it's about 20-25 mins long, so you can do it when you don't have a lot of time, and many of the kettlebell moves are also cardio moves, so you get more bang for your buck. Just an FYI - I am a runner, and consider myself in excellent shape, I recently was hurt so I am trying new types of workouts and trying to build some muscle."
