I found this movie rather blah, especially compared to Valentine's Day. It follows the same structure, but the characters aren't as interesting, the gags aren't as funny, and it all seems pretty artificial and sanitized. I wasn't sorry when it was over. I don't think it's the fault of the performers; they can only work with what they're given. As a New Year's Eve movie, The Thin Man with William Powell and Myrna Loy blows this out of the water for fun and spirit.
