It's not new Documentary

"Beware - it's not new Documentary about Queen as it was subscribed. It's one more re-edition of Magic moments documentary. Chrome Dreams sold this DVD 3 times under different cowers. In 2004 -as Magic Moments. In 2006- As Queen DVD collectors box. In 2007 -As Queen The Document. In 2008 -as Queen We Thank you all. They sell the same old goods as new. Shame."
Terrible "documentary" on Queen.

""This DVD features a fascinating documentary film about the group, tracing the story from their early days, right up to the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991. Featuring rare footage such as interviews with the band, expert journalists and friends of the group, as well as numerous location shoots, seldom seen photos - many from private collections - and a host of other features, this program is quite simply one of the finest documentaries on the group ever made"

A more loftier claim has never been made in the world of documentary film making! To put it bluntly, that description is an out and out lie. I really should have read the small print on the back that said "no original music by Queen is included on this documentary"

I was looking for a documentary, on one of the greatest bands of all time, Queen. I was looking forward to maybe some insight into certain songs, the lives of the bandmembers , in particular into the live of Freddie Mercury who was taken from us so prematurely in 1991 from AIDS. What I got was the most boring, messy, confusing, mish mosh of a documentary there has ever been. It literally was just a bunch of people staged in front of guitars, pictures of the band, on their couches talking about (and sometimes barely understandbly) the band and how they knew them. Roadies, journalists, radio personalities way past their prime, friends, etc. I believe they could have yanked a stranger off the street and interviewed them and they would have told more interesting stories about Queen. "rare footage" in this case meant tv appearances, but just banal interviews. "seldom seen photos" were from personal collections but not worth the hype.

There is NO MUSIC from Queen on this film, I mean they are talking about Bohemian Rhapsody while playing music in the backround that isnt even Queen! This documentary is a joke, and NO FAN of Queen will find it the least bit compelling, entertaining, nostalgic, or informative. Its not for anyones collection but the boring talking heads that were featured on it.

Skip this and buy Queen - Live at Wembley Stadium or Queen: Rock Montreal & Live Aid [Blu-ray].

"Nothing new here. Same ole same ole...It was very long and there is NO Queen music at all! Couldn't even sit through the whole thing. While the people are talking the music in the background is too loud and, again, NOT even Queen.....Go with "We are the Champions" instead."
