Simply Awful - NO relationship to Spy Kids

"Cardboard acting, bad film technique, poor sound, and no real story....just about says it all for this little tiny skipable movie. It has no relationship whatsoever to the Spy Kids series.
Dad and a 12 year old managed to sit through this whole film, but it was a bit painful for both of us. The story follows a smarty pants 12 year old kid through school. He becomes our hero because he uncovers and solves a plot to kidnap the president's daughter who is visiting the school.
Don't be fooled by the cast into thinking this might be good. Lea Thompson (Caroline in the City star), D.L. Hughley, Roger Bart (the insane new guy George Williams in Desperate Housewives), and Suzy Nakamura (Curb Your Enthusiasm and West Wing) basically all phone in their performances.
You are supposed to believe some kind of love triangle between a British girl, our hero Thomas Miller, and Jackie Hoffman (his sort of tom boy friend). It's out of touch adults trying to write about children's feelings, but making them too adult.
There's not really any laughs here. And no real suspense.
It's hard to imagine how this film even got made. It is G. There are bonus features on the DVD, deleted scenes and some other things. Sadly I felt too tortured already to watch more about this film."

"As stated in the othe review, this movie is really awful! I was excited about the movie due to the wonderful actors playing in it, but I was EXTREMELY dissapointed in their performances and the TERRIBLE storyline! If you really want to see this movie rent it, please DO NOT BUY THIS MOVIE. You'll regret spending the money(like me) if you do! On another note, the title is very misleading, this has NOTHING to do with a school of spys! Sorry if your dissapointed, but I wished someone had written this review before I purchased Spy School!!!!!!!"
