Great pictures, but a tired format

"A tradition that every November we preview the coming ski season with the new Warren Miller film. I'm afraid this one disappoints. Some great footage, and a worldwide coverage, but there isn't much different from last year's film, or the one before. Creeping commercial content and an over hyped commentary. Too serious - where's the comic content that his films used to display to break up the epic actin shots?"
Warren Miller movies going downhill

"I've been a huge fan of Warren Miller movies for years, but this one was really disappointing. Warren Miller's color commentary is now gone, except for a few archived sound bites from the past. The music was slow and mellow, not energetic and fast like in many previous Warren Miller films. Try Cold Fusion, Journey, or Storm instead - each of those are excellent. This one was a waste of time."

"My husband goes through withdrawal when the ski season ends each spring. Warren Miller ski videos, along with non-snow activities like biking and hiking, keep him relatively happy until the snow flies again. "Off the Grid" is a great addition to his collection. He has enjoyed watching it several times already."

"Warren did not do much of the talking in this one but it's still worth watching. It's not as good as Cold Fusion but I think none of them can hold a match to Cold Fusion."
