"I have been EXTREMELY enthusiastic when it comes to teaching my children foreign languages, and I must confess I have bought everything out there to help me in this task (sometimes with better luck than others).
So having bought every book, CD, and DVD you can possibly find at amazon and elsewhere to expose babies to the sounds of Spanish (and Frech), I can affirm with a great degree of certainty, that you will find nothing better for the 0-3 age-group than Aprendiendo Tempranito, and the other DVDs in the A LA ViBORA DE LA MAR series. They are just beautiful... engaging and entertaining! This one in particular is very soothing, as it is the one in the series specially designed for newborns. It features a lovely combination of hispanic poetry, nursery rhymes, lullabies and music...
Aprendiendo Tempranito is completly in Spanish, as are the other DVDs in the A LA VIBORA DE LA MAR series. Do not worry if you do not understand a word! I did not! But who cares! My kids, now 6 and 7 are almost fluent in Spanish! And that is ultimately what matters!
A piece of advice: do not forget the age group that this series targets... 0-3.

"I seldom review items I purchase online but I thought this was a great product for kids of native Spanish speakers or if the parent or caregiver is fluent in Spanish. If you are interested in your kids learning Spanish then this is the right way to start. My 20 month old son loves the video. I've introduced him to both Spanish and English since day one but this video helps me to give him a full 20 minute lesson in Spanish. I will say that I typically don't walk away while he is watching the videos I am there with him watching and reemphasizing what is happening as the video is playing. I think this product is intended to be used that way."
What I was looking for!
